Wedding Card Verses :-

Choosing an appropriate bible verse for a wedding card invitation or ceremony programme can be quite a challenge - the scriptures offer us so many possible options, and even when we feel we have found the right verse, there is then the question of which version of the bible to use! Since a wedding is primarily about celebrating the love and commitment that a couple have found together, then finding a scripture that is on one of these themes is probably a good place to start. This reference page contains short bible verses for wedding cards on the themes of love and the biblical origins of marriage. Two of the most famous bible quotes on marriage are from 1 Corinthians 13 ("love is patient, love is kind" etc.) and Ecclesiastes 4 ("A rope of three cords" etc) - the latter being a wonderful picture of how God being involved in marriage (the third cord) causes the whole partnership to be so much stronger in the face of lifes trials and difficulties.
